Badminton

I have been playing badminton for the past five years, consistently medalling in district level competitions each season. Through the sport, I have developed discipline, resilience, and the ability to stay focused under pressure. Badminton has also taught me the importance of sportsmanship—respecting opponents, staying composed in both wins and losses, and representing my team with integrity.
I have learned to contribute positively to a team environment by encouraging others and maintaining a strong mindset during both individual and team matches. The fast-paced nature of the sport has strengthened my decision-making skills and ability to adapt quickly in competitive situations.Overall, it has reinforced the value of consistency and perseverance, both on and off the court.
Academic Pursuits
Mathematics Competitions:
I have participated in the prestigious University of Waterloo math competitions, where I’ve challenged myself to think critically and solve complex problems. In 2023, I received a Distinction Award, followed by the Highest Score in School Award in 2024, and three participation awards in 2025. These experiences have strengthened my problem-solving skills and taught me to approach challenges with persistence and confidence.

Science Fair Awards:
In 2024, I won first place in both categories I entered at my school science fair, with two separate projects. For the research category, I independently explored magnetic levitation by designing and building a working model of a levitating train using neodymium magnets. For the innovation category, I collaborated with a small group during Skills Canada Exploration Day to develop a water conservation prototype, which also earned first place at the school level. Through these experiences, I strengthened my ability to apply scientific concepts, collaborate effectively, and turn ideas into practical solutions.
